Breakout Session 5 : Innovative Solutions II
Thursday, June 29th - 11:00am to 12:30pm
How the recycling of plastics from shredded waste electrical and electronics equipment (WEEE) fits within the Circular Economy is important. How existing EU legislation may influence activities of multinationals needs consideration. Beyond plastics and in an acceleration of circular economy, Dell and SABIC teamed together to produce new Dell products using recycled carbon fiber. The LCA results show that reclaimed carbon fiber has approximately a 67% lower carbon footprint than that of virgin carbon fiber.
